The Explorer Experience

Explorers start their journey by discovering how our experience, unique location, sense of community, and environment inspire our approach to Scotch whisky. A trip around the spirit production process is then followed by an absorbing foray through the art of maturation.
The Adventurer Experience
90 MINS / £60PP
Designed for visitors with that extra sense of adventure, this experience follows in the steps of the Explorer tour, to learn how we produce The Cairn spirit and approach the art of Scotch whisky maturation. When our intrepid Adventurers reach their summit at our top floor hosting lounge, they are rewarded with three very special drams.
This tour also includes a selection of our finest Scottish tapas, served in The Gathering.
The Voyager Experience

Reserved for those willing to push the boundaries of exploration, Voyagers undertake a full, far-reaching whisky expedition rounded off by a very special tasting experience.
Having discovered how our experience, unique location, sense of community, and environment inspire our approach to Scotch whisky, Voyagers are personally guided around the production process by our experienced host, on hand to explore every detail, with extended time for questions.
The Gathering
'The Gathering' at The Cairn Distillery provides a comfortable environment with stunning views, ideal for a drink and a bite before or after your tour. We are fully licensed, so you’ll be able to relax with a dram while you explore our menu which offers tapas-style dishes to complement our whiskies. An outside terrace takes you closer to nature and our breathtaking landscape when the weather is kind.
Shop
Our shop provides an opportunity for visitors to commemorate their experience with items inspired by our location, all available exclusively at The Cairn Distillery. It is the only place in the world to buy whiskies from our CRN57° range, available as 12YO, 18YO, 25YO, 30YO, 57YO and 70YO.
Outdoor Trails
The grounds surrounding The Cairn have been designed to bring you closer to nature, and allow you to fully immerse yourself in our breathtaking landscape. Allow time during your visit to take a short walk down the trail and see the true beauty of the Cairngorm National Park.
Dogs are welcome in our grounds, however we kindly ask that they are kept on a lead so as not to disturb our natural wildlife.
